Steve's Definition of Love

by Steve M Nash

Real love can not be defined. Whether this is the love of a child, the love of a partner or even the lifelong love of a friend - real love will quite often amaze you with its capacity to be more than you ever thought possible.

And for me, real love can only be unconditional love. All other forms of love are merely ego at play. Unconditional love is available whenever, whatever and however - time after time after time. There are no conditions for it, for you or for the person being loved - the love just is.

Any definition of love that has love less than this is talking about a pale immitation, and not the real thing. That's what I say, anyway...

I disagree, Poem Girl
by: Steve

I politely disagree with you Poem Girl re your comment on my definition of love.

Unconditional love IS possible for ALL of us - between ALL of us. And thinking otherwise cheats us all out of experiencing what love truly is.

Yes, we can all love conditionally and that's what most of us do. But it doesn't have to be that way...

Only your mom and God will give you unconditional love.
by: Poem Girl

Unconditional love will be given only by your mom and by God. Steve, who else would give you unconditional love? Most of the love are conditional and changeable. That is why we have over 50% divorce rate.
