Happy Life The JJ Way, Issue #49 - Homestay Help
March 25, 2020
Hi, and the warmest of welcomes to "Happy Life The JJ Way".
I know you were promised a monthly newsletter and it has only been a couple of weeks since you last found me in your inbox, but I can't sit idly by and let those of you who are struggling do so alone.
If one person benefits from my words today, then it's worth sending them to all of you. If you feel you are coping well with the current situation please forward this on to someone who could use a (virtual) hug. You can keep in touch with me on Facebook so please don't hesitate to drop me a line and let me know how your Happy Life is progressing. I love hearing from you. In particular at this time, please let me know if you are doing well and especially let me know if you're not.
Homestay HelpMost of us are spending most of our time at home -possibly more time than we have ever spent "in residence", and it's a bit strange! In fact, it's a lot strange.
Our lives have changed in an instant. Suddenly the lives we took for granted aren't safe. In order to stay safe, we need to consider friends and strangers alike as possible virus carriers who could threaten our very existence -and the existence of our loved ones.
We humans are social beings. It's normal and natural for us to crave each other's company, and to crave the company of a variety of other humans. So much so, that when we break the laws of our society, our punishment is removal from that society and the deprivation of the company of the fellow-humans with whom we choose to associate. Apart from death, that is the worst punishment we have ever applied to our perpetrators.
So don't feel bad if you struggle with your "Homestay". It's counter intuitive to us as humans to give up our liberty and our social lives, but it is necessary to our survival at this point in time.
Today is my first Homestay day, so many of you - particularly my lovely subscribers from China and the US - will have HEAPS more Homestay experience than me.
You can see in the following videos my Homestay journey beginning today plus I've added some tips to help us all as we progress through this strange time.
I would love to hear from you about what has helped you through and what has been the most difficult for you.
The best we can do is make the best of it, so here are my tips for Homestay thriving.
Homestay Help - 3 Tips to Thrive
1. MeditateCome ooooooooonnnnnn! I've been banging on about this for years, listening to your lame excuses (I don't have time; I'm washing my hair; I'm too busy; I'm too old/young/fat/lazy/goodlooking/ugly).
Well, I think you may have just run out of excuses...feel free to send them in to me if you think you have a valid reason not to meditate during your Homestay. I will publish them, along with a profound apology in my next newsletter.
But seriously, you've heard this before...meditation will change your life for the better.
This is all very well for those of us who are still able to get outside for a walk or bike ride, but sadly for many of you, even your exercise has to be indoors. Utilise Youtube for an assortment of exercise classes, or do as I do, turn up the music and dance!

3. Plan and/or execute a project.
I don't have a video for this one as yet, because you guys are my project! My Homestay will fly by because I love communicating with you and hopefully, helping you to navigate this strange time we are living through.
Immersing yourself in a project you love will change your whole outlook on your Homestay. Use your imagination to dream up a project that flicks your switches.
I have many more tips for you, some of which I will share next time. In the meantime, if you are looking for inspiration, go to
and I'm sure you will find something there to give you a new perspective, or lift your spirits.
we'd love to help you Live Life Happy!

Why Am I The Happiest Person I Know? When I was given an opportunity to share my message with the world, through my first publication The Path To Success I thought it may be my only opportunity, ever. So I thought long and hard about the number one reason I am The Happiest Person I Know. If I could only share one message with the world, which would be the most important?
The answer is my contribution to The Path To Success and it is my fervent wish that you read it, take my message on board, and become The Happiest Person You Know!
